DST Global

DST Global provides growth capital to high-growth technology companies worldwide.

Overview

DST Global is a global investment firm focused on internet and technology businesses. Yuri Milner founded the firm in 2009 alongside Saurabh Gupta, John Lindfors, Rahul Mehta and Tom Stafford. The firm operates internationally, with its registered base in the Cayman Islands and offices across major technology and financial centres. Its portfolio spans consumer internet, fintech, enterprise software, AI and other technology businesses.

Investment Focus and Stage

DST Global is best known for investing in companies that have already demonstrated substantial traction and are entering periods of rapid expansion. Its core activity sits in growth-stage and late-stage private technology investing rather than traditional pre-seed venture capital.

The firm's investments cover consumer internet, financial technology, software and other digital businesses. Its approach is also distinctive in how it works with founders. DST Global has historically made large investments while taking a relatively light governance approach and generally avoiding board seats.

Fund Size and Portfolio

DST Global has built a portfolio of more than 300 investments globally. Its India portfolio includes some of the country's best-known technology companies, including Flipkart, Ola, Swiggy, Meesho, Udaan and Cars24. The firm has also backed global companies such as Facebook, Airbnb, Alibaba, Whatnot, Brex, Chime and Harvey.

Its recent investment activity includes companies such as Whatnot, Harvey, Waymo, Ricursive Intelligence and Clay. Saurabh Gupta has also been involved in DST Global's investment in CRED, while the firm participated in Whatnot's $545 million Series G round in 2026.

DST Global's investment vehicles have raised capital at multi-billion-dollar scale. Its ninth fund, raised in 2021, had $4 billion in committed capital, while the firm's cumulative assets under management have been estimated at around $50 billion.

Leadership

Yuri Milner is the founder of DST Global. He previously founded Digital Sky Technologies and built his investment career around internet businesses, later focusing his attention on DST Global.

Saurabh Gupta is Co-Founder and Managing Partner. He has held senior investment roles at DST Global and previously worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan. His current portfolio work includes companies across AI, fintech, consumer technology and enterprise software.

John Lindfors, Rahul Mehta and Tom Stafford are also Co-Founders and Managing Partners. Together, the founding team has built DST Global around concentrated investments in technology companies with the potential to become major global businesses.
