Eight Roads Ventures is a global venture capital firm with more than five decades of investment history. It began investing from Boston in 1969 as Fidelity Ventures and today operates across Asia, Europe, Israel and the US. The firm focuses on technology and healthcare, with its India platform also investing across consumer and financial services. Eight Roads has built a global portfolio of more than 350 companies and has been investing in India since 2007.

Its technology portfolio includes enterprise software, SaaS, fintech and digital infrastructure, while its healthcare investments span pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, medical technology and life sciences.
The firm brings a global growth perspective to its investments. Companies can draw on Eight Roads' international network as they expand into new markets, raise subsequent rounds and build relationships with customers and partners outside their home market.
Fund Size and Portfolio
Eight Roads has more than $5 billion in assets under management globally and has allocated about $1.6 billion to its India platform. The India team has invested across more than 80 companies, including Icertis, Shadowfax, PharmEasy, Northern Arc, Laurus Labs, Whatfix, Moglix and Apna.
Its global portfolio includes companies such as Alibaba, Neo4j, AppsFlyer, Avalara and Paidy. In India, the firm has remained active across both technology and healthcare. Shadowfax was one of its early India investments, with Eight Roads leading the company's Series A in 2015. The firm later participated in Shadowfax's $100 million Series E round and partially exited through the transaction.
Eight Roads has also backed healthcare businesses including Laurus Labs, PharmEasy, Cipla Health, Immuneel Therapeutics and Toothsi. Its India portfolio has produced several public-market outcomes, including Laurus Labs and Shadowfax.
Leadership
Shweta Bhatia is Partner and Head of Technology, Consumer and Financial Services Investments for India. She joined Eight Roads in 2011 and has worked across enterprise technology, consumer and financial services investments.
Prem Pavoor is Senior Partner and Head of Healthcare Investments in India. He has worked with healthcare and life sciences businesses across pharmaceuticals, healthcare services and technology.
