Fireside Ventures

Fireside Ventures backs India's emerging consumer brands from seed to growth.

Overview

Fireside Ventures is a Bengaluru-based venture capital firm focused exclusively on consumer businesses. Founded in 2017, the firm partners with founders building brands around everyday consumption, with its portfolio spanning food and beverages, beauty and personal care, health and wellness, home products, lifestyle and emerging commerce categories. Its approach combines investment capital with hands-on operating support for consumer companies.

Investment Focus and Stage

Fireside primarily invests at the seed and Series A stages, while also participating in later rounds as selected portfolio companies scale. Its typical investment range extends from roughly $400,000 to $8 million across the life of an investment.

The firm's central thesis is built around India's changing consumer. It looks for brands with a clear understanding of their customers, strong product-market fit and the potential to build lasting consumer preference. Fireside also pays attention to shifts in how younger consumers discover and buy products, including the growing role of digital channels, marketplaces and new retail formats.

Beyond capital, the firm works closely with founders on areas such as consumer research, product development, distribution, marketing, hiring, supply chains and finance. This operating involvement is a core part of its investment model.

Fund Size and Portfolio

Fireside has raised four funds and manages around ₹5,300 crore in assets. Its fourth fund closed at ₹2,265 crore ($253 million) in 2025, making it the firm's largest fund to date. Fund IV is expected to back around 30–35 consumer brands.

The portfolio has grown to more than 60 brands, including Mamaearth, boAt, The Sleep Company, Licious, Yoga Bar, Slurrp Farm, Pilgrim, The Good Bug, Wellbeing Nutrition, Newme, Traya and Inito.

Several investments have progressed to major corporate milestones. Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, is publicly listed, while Yoga Bar was acquired by ITC. boAt has also moved toward the public markets. Fireside's first fund has generated a 3.6x distributed-to-paid-in-capital multiple, reflecting realized returns from its early portfolio.
