Good Capital
Good Capital backs early-stage Indian startups across consumer and technology markets.
Overview
Good Capital is an India-focused venture capital firm founded in 2019 by Arjun and Rohan Malhotra. The firm backs early-stage companies addressing large consumer and technology opportunities in India. Its portfolio spans consumer internet, healthcare, climate technology, financial services and software businesses.
Investment Focus and Stage
Good Capital primarily invests at the pre-seed and seed stages, typically writing initial cheques of $600,000 to $1 million. The firm looks for founders tackling large, emerging markets where changing consumer behavior, technology adoption or new infrastructure can create opportunities for new businesses.
Its investments have covered consumer brands and platforms, healthcare technology, AI-enabled businesses, climate and energy solutions, and financial technology. The firm often invests before a company has reached significant scale, allowing it to work closely with founders during product development, early hiring and the first stages of market expansion.
Fund Size and Portfolio
Good Capital has raised multiple funds since its launch. Its first institutional fund was a $25 million vehicle, followed by a second fund targeting around $50 million. The firm has backed more than 30 companies across its portfolio.
Its investments include SolarSquare, Orange Health, Nuuk, Jar, Country Delight, Zypp Electric, ApnaMart, BimaPe and Go Desi. SolarSquare operates in residential solar energy, while Orange Health provides technology-enabled diagnostic services. Nuuk builds products for the outdoor and adventure category.
The portfolio reflects Good Capital's willingness to invest across different business models, from consumer-facing companies to technology platforms and climate-focused businesses.
