Huddle Ventures
Huddle Ventures backs Indian founders at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages.
Overview
Huddle Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Gurugram, India, focused on backing founders at the earliest stages of company building. The firm is sector-agnostic and invests primarily at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages, with a philosophy built around partnering with founders during the uncertain 0-to-1 phase.
Investment Focus and Stage
Huddle Ventures is focused on Pre-Seed and Seed investments, typically acting as the first institutional investor. Its average initial investment is around $500,000, with the ability to invest up to $1 million. The firm can continue supporting successful portfolio companies through Series B.
Its sector-agnostic approach allows Huddle to build focused theses while remaining open to opportunities outside established categories. Its investments show particular interest in businesses shaping new patterns of consumption and technology-enabled services.
The firm also takes an active operating approach. During its diligence process, the investment team spends time working through the company's assumptions with founders and brings in relevant industry experts, potential customers and other members of its network. After investment, Huddle helps with areas such as hiring, supply chains, go-to-market and business development.
Fund Size and Portfolio
Huddle's second fund is capped at ₹150 crore, giving the firm a deliberately focused pool of capital for early-stage investing. The firm also has an opportunities strategy that allows it to increase exposure to portfolio companies as they move into later rounds.
Its portfolio includes Blue Tokai Coffee, one of India's specialty coffee brands; Perfora, a personal-care brand; Celcius Logistics, a technology-enabled cold-chain logistics platform; Asaya, a skincare brand; LiteStore, a retail technology company; and Wellversed, a consumer wellness platform.
Other portfolio companies include Ozi, Cumin Co., Littlebox, Greengrahi, Bold Care, Cureskin and Rumik. Several of Huddle's early investments have subsequently attracted larger institutional investors as they moved into later funding rounds.
Leadership
Ishaan Khosla is a Founding Partner at Huddle Ventures. He has been closely involved in shaping the firm's early-stage investment strategy and its focus on backing companies before their success becomes obvious to the broader market.
Sanil Sachar is Managing Partner and has played a central role in building Huddle's founder-focused investment approach. His background spans entrepreneurship, investing and the startup ecosystem.
Together, Khosla and Sachar have built Huddle around the idea that the earliest stage requires a different type of investor. The firm sees itself as an active founder's office alongside its role as a capital provider, helping companies solve the operational problems that appear between an initial idea and a scalable business.
