Colossa Ventures
Women-first venture capital investing across healthcare, deep tech, climate and consumer markets.
Overview
Colossa Ventures LLP is a Mumbai-based venture capital and investment platform established in 2022 by Ashu Suyash and Vandana Rajadhyaksha. The firm invests across healthcare and life sciences, climate and sustainability, deep tech, consumer, fintech, education and financial inclusion. Its defining focus is not a single industry. Colossa backs businesses where women are founders, co-founders or major beneficiaries, while also making some gender-agnostic investments in innovation-led companies.
Investment Focus and Stage
Colossa invests from seed through Series B, with a stated ticket range of $500,000 to $3 million. Its sector coverage spans areas where changing consumer behaviour, technology and inclusion can create large markets, with particular attention to businesses connected to the women’s economy. The strategy also extends to deep tech, climate technology, healthcare and financial inclusion where the underlying opportunity fits its investment approach.
The firm’s approach centres on its 3C model: Capital, Capability and Confidence. The idea goes beyond providing funding and focuses on helping founders build the financial, strategic and operating capabilities needed as their businesses grow.
Fund Size and Portfolio
Colossa WomenFirst Fund, a Category II AIF managed by Colossa Ventures LLP, has a target corpus of ₹500 crore, equivalent to about $51.9 million at the October 5, 2026 exchange rate of ₹96.27 per US dollar. The fund made its first close at ₹100 crore, or about $10.4 million, with SIDBI, Ranjan Pai’s family office and Shriram Ownership Trust among the investors.
Colossa's investment activity now extends well beyond its earlier reported eight-company portfolio.
