Jungle Ventures

Jungle Ventures invests across India and Southeast Asia from seed to growth stages.

Overview

Founded in 2012 by Amit Anand and Anurag Srivastava, Jungle Ventures is a Singapore-headquartered venture capital firm investing across India and Southeast Asia. The firm has built its strategy around companies that can become regional or global businesses, with investments spanning consumer brands, B2B platforms, financial services, healthcare, software and technology-enabled businesses.

Jungle has invested in India since 2015 and now has more than 30 companies in its India portfolio.

Investment Focus and Stage

Jungle Ventures invests from pre-seed and seed through growth stages. Its current platform describes itself as multi-stage and generalist, with typical cheques ranging from $500,000 to $20 million, depending on the stage and opportunity.

The firm's investment strategy is built around three broad areas: digitally native consumer businesses, technology platforms transforming SMEs and traditional industries, and technology companies born in Asia with the potential to expand internationally.

Its First Cheque@Jungle strategy focuses on very early investments, while the broader platform provides follow-on capital as companies move through Series A, Series B and later growth rounds. This allows Jungle to remain invested as founders expand across markets rather than treating the initial investment as a standalone transaction.

Fund Size and Portfolio

Jungle has raised five major funds since inception:

  • Jungle Ventures I — $10 million, raised in 2012
  • Jungle Ventures II — $100 million, raised in 2016
  • Jungle Ventures III — $240 million, closed in 2019, including $40 million in separately managed account commitments
  • Jungle Ventures IV — $600 million, closed in 2022
  • Jungle Ventures V — $500 million target, focused on high-growth companies across India and Southeast Asia

Across its platform, Jungle has more than $1 billion in assets under management and reports a combined portfolio value of about $15 billion.

Its portfolio includes Moglix, Livspace, Kredivo, Turtlemint, Atomberg, BetterPlace, Pratilipi, Leap, NirogStreet, CityMall, Infinity Fincorp, The Ayurveda Experience, Sociolla, RedDoorz, Pomelo and Builder.ai. The firm has backed more than 30 Indian companies, while its wider India and Southeast Asia portfolio spans a much larger group of businesses.
